How to Restore and Backup System Disk Content


Prerequisites

To restore or backup System Disk content of your CURRERA the System Image Recovery USB Stick is needed.



Initial steps:

Each camera is set for USB booting from factory.
If boot device settings was changed - set First boot device to USB device in the BIOS settings.
It can be opened by repeated pressing Delete key on connected keyboard after power up.

Power up

After power up the booting of Image Manager should have started automatically and finished by displaying of Image Manager Menu.

Note: In case when Image Manager does not start booting - please connect System Image Recovery USB Stick to another port of USB hub and power off/on the CURRERA to retry booting.

Image Manager Menu

Following menu shows on the display when Image Manager has started.

Restore Factory System Disk Image

Press 1 and Enter on keyboard to start restoring of Factory System Disk Image.
The image is restored from USB (file images/currera_factory.tbi) to CURRERA's System Disk.

Restore Custom System Disk Image

Press 2 and Enter on keyboard to start restoring Custom Image.
The image is restored from USB (file images/currera_custom.tbi) to CURRERA's System Disk Content.

Backup Custom System Disk Image

Press 3 and Enter on keyboard to start backup of current CURRERA's System Disk to USB as Custom Image.
The image is backed up to USB to file images/currera_custom.tbi.

Restart

After selected operation is done, you will be prompted to remove System Image Recovery USB Stick and press Enter.


Use of Custom System Disk Images

You can store your Custom System Disk Images on your other backup disk;
For example for different stages of development.
Later they can be restored to CURRERA to return System Disk to previous status.
Both images, Factory System Disk Image and Custom System Disk Image are stored on the System Image Recovery USB Stick in directory images.
