Firewire Cameras Connection Diagnostics¶
Please follow the below steps in cases if a firewire camera is not streaming images in your application.
Please note that some legacy firewire cameras are not supported in xiCamtool.
- Install latest XIMEA API Software Package
- Restart PC
- Check if Windows can see the camera device
- Open Device Manager by right click on Computer icon on the desktop
- Check if the device is listed
The picture shows connected camera
- Check if camera streams images
- Start sample application xiSample.exe located in C:\XIMEA\Examples\Bin folder.
It should grab 10 images and finish
