MUNSTER, GERMANY, August 16, 2011 – XIMEA GmbH, manufacturer of industrial, smart camera, and scientific imaging equipment, is pleased to announce its line of miniature scientific-grade cameras with Peltier cooling and low signal-to-noise operation for applications in microscopy and ophthalmology, including pathology, histology, and fluorescence.

The line of scientific-grade cameras comes in a variety of resolutions from 1.4 to 16 MP. All cameras come with high-quality CCD sensors and FireWire interface and optional Peltier cooling for low-light microscopy and related applications.

All of XIMEA’s cameras now come with Windows- and Linux-based application programming interfaces (APIs) for most common image-processing libraries, including Cognex VisionPro, MathWorks MATLAB, Matrox MIL, MVTec Halcon, National Instruments LabVIEW, NeuroCheck, OpenCV, Intel IPP, Open source libdmtx, Open source AForge.NET, Open source Integrating Vision Toolkit, Keyetech, RoboRealm, STEMMER IMAGING Common Vision Blox, Tordivel Scorpion, and Voyant Vision, with more APIs under development.
