High-speed PCIe cameras for multi-camera systems

XIMEA cameras use PCIe interfaces to deliver maximum sensor performance, ultra-low latency, and high bandwidth for demanding imaging applications. PCIe enables fast, efficient data transfer from single or multi-camera setups to workstations, servers, or GPUs.

Its scalable, backward-compatible architecture ensures seamless integration and future-proof performance for high-throughput sensors and advanced vision systems.

xiX-XL camera series

The xiX-XL camera family is optimized for aerial mapping, surveillance, and geospatial imaging, delivering exceptionally detailed and precise imagery for accurate cartography, agriculture, and urban planning. Its high-resolution output enables reliable data capture for large-area coverage as well as fine-feature extraction.

With resolutions of up to 245.7 Mpix, detachable sensor heads, outstanding image quality, and an attractive price point, the xiX-XL cameras provide a powerful and flexible solution for professional photogrammetry and geospatial applications where accuracy and efficiency are critical.

At GEO WEEK, we are highlighting particularly two xiX-XL camera models that are exceptionally well suited for applications in the field of geospatial imagery and mapping:

The MX1276 featuring Sony's IMX661 - 127.7 Mpix (13,408 × 9,528) global shutter sensor for high-frame-rate capture and motion-sensitive workflows.
Larger pixels (~3.45 µm) provide excellent light efficiency, making it ideal for UAV photogrammetry and dynamic survey conditions.

The MX2457 featuring Sony's IMX811 - 245.7 Mpix (19,200 × 12,800) BSI CMOS sensor delivers ultra-high spatial resolution and superior sensitivity for large-area mapping and fine-detail geospatial analysis. Smaller pixels (~2.81 µm) maximize detail capture in varying lighting conditions.

Both cameras feature PCIe Gen3 x4 high-speed interface, flexible readout, and detachable sensor heads for integration into professional aerial imaging platforms.
Choose the MX1276 for faster capture and motion robustness, or the MX2457 for maximum resolution and image detail.

Edge processing & system solutions

As AI-driven image processing gains importance in the data center as well as on the edge, developers are faced with the challenge of combining high computing performance, flexible connectivity and a compact system design. Our XEC-NX carrier board is specifically engineered to meet these demands, providing a reliable and powerful foundation for embedded vision systems based on NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX and Orin™ NX modules.
