xiMU series - now even with global shutter BSI sensors

Our xiMU cameras are engineered for minimal volume and weight. They are the world's smallest industrial-grade cameras, measuring down to 15x15 mm. Built using advanced, high-density manufacturing techniques, they feature rolling and global shutter CMOS sensors with resolutions of up to 20 Mpix and frame rates of up to 60 FPS. These features make them ideal for capturing fast motion during drone mapping, mobile surveying, and dynamic 3D data acquisition.
A USB3 interface ensures low-latency, high-bandwidth data transfer for real-time vision and geospatial pipelines. Full GenICam support, hardware triggering, and a robust SDK enable precise synchronization in complex, multi-camera systems.
They are ideal for drones, missile pods, helmet-mounted systems, and dense sensor networks, where every gram and watt counts. The xiMU allows telemetry engineers to incorporate imaging into space-constrained or mobile platforms, providing quality and control in environments where traditional cameras can't be used.

xiB-64 series - PCIe based high-speed cameras

When speed, resolution, and data integrity are non-negotiable, the xiB-64 delivers. This PCIe-based camera offers up to 64 Gbit/s (approximately 8 GB/s) of sustained bandwidth, making it ideal for real-time, high-resolution capture at extreme frame rates. With support for image sensors up to 65 Mpix, it can handle everything from large-format imaging to ultra-high-speed capture, with frame rates ranging from 70 FPS to well over 3500 FPS, depending on the configuration.
Thanks to direct memory access (DMA), the xiB-64 bypasses the CPU for ultra-low latency data transfer, and a generous 4 GB onboard buffer ensures no frames are lost, even during peak data bursts. Its built-in synchronization capabilities enable multiple cameras to be triggered and operated in perfect unison, supporting complex multi-camera setups without sacrificing timing precision.
The xiB-64 is particularly well-suited for high-speed tracking, aerospace testing, vehicle instrumentation, and other data-intensive applications where bandwidth and reliability are critical. It provides telemetry engineers with the throughput, synchronization, and robustness they need, delivering every frame, every time.

Multi-camera and embedded systems

Detachable sensor head cameras

Discover new levels of flexibility with XIMEA’s xiX-Xtreme modular camera design featuring detachable sensor heads and Sony Pregius S sensors.
By separating the sensor from the main camera body, these systems enable remote placement in confined or harsh environments, while reducing thermal impact to optimize image quality.
Perfect for applications with space constraints or demanding conditions, they simplify integration and expand system design freedom.

XIMEA offers custom carrier boards for NVIDIA Jetson™ modules (Orin NX, Xavier, Nano) that support up to three PCIe-based xiX cameras, with high-speed data transfer via FireFly cables, M.2 NVMe storage, and 10 GbE. This setup enables real-time embedded vision systems with low latency, capable of processing and streaming multiple synchronized camera feeds using the Jetson’s onboard GPU for tasks like color correction, demosaicing, encoding, and AI inference. Ideal for compact, high-performance applications in robotics, XR, and edge AI.

xiSpec series - Hyperspectral imaging

The xiSpec camera series provides powerful hyperspectral imaging for applications where space and weight are limited. With models that cover the VNIR, NIR, and SWIR spectral ranges, the xiSpec enables real-time, pixel-level spectral analysis - ideal for applications such as environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, machine vision, and material classification.
Thanks to its ultra-compact form factor, starting at just 26.4 × 26.4 mm, and USB3 interface, the xiSpec fits seamlessly into drones, mobile systems, and embedded sensor networks. Full GenICam support, hardware triggering, and a robust SDK facilitate integration into multi-camera setups and synchronized data pipelines.
